Nannies are responsible for all tasks related to the care of a child or children in the home. They serve as loving, nurturing and trustworthy companions to children. Some of the duties include but not limited to bathing, making beds, meal preparation for the kids, driving children to school, appointments and activities, tutoring and helping with homework. Some nannies may also help in general light housekeeping. A nanny position can be full-time, part-time, temporary, live-in or live-out.

Our Process

1st Stage: We get to know you

Once we receive your application, we contact you via phone to learn more about you and your family’s needs.


2nd Stage: Family Assessment

A Signet Nannies agent will come to your home to meet your family, assess your needs and understand your values.

3rd Stage: Search

Signet Nannies gets to work to find you the right nanny based on your specific needs and requirements.


4th Stage: Review & Interview

We send you profiles of nannies that are a strong fit for the position for your review. We coordinate interviews between you and your favorite candidates. We will then follow up with you on your feedback.

5th Stage: Hiring

When ready to hire your future nanny, Signet Nannies, through our local partner company, will perform a 7 Year Look, Multi-County Criminal Check which includes Protective Orders, National Criminal Database, Violent Sex Offender Search, SSN Trace, and Motor Vehicle Record Search (Drug testing and other options also available). We will also guide you to complete a nanny/family work agreement and advise you on your responsibilities as a domestic employer including payroll and taxes and compliance.


6th Stage: Follow-up

Fees & Salaries

Nanny Salaries:   Family client determines nanny rate. Clients pay their nanny directly, usually on a weekly basis, unless agreed otherwise.

Several factors such as type of nanny, number of children and responsibilities play a role in determining nanny rates. Below is a general guideline for nanny rates in Atlanta, GA:

Full time: $10 – $20 (hourly)

Part time: $12 – $22 (hourly)

Placement Fees: 12 – 18% of Nanny’s gross annual income & compensation package.  Below are the three fee structures that Signet Nannies has designed to address your needs:

Standard – 12% of the gross income of the nanny; 30 – day replacement policy

Plus – 15% of the nanny’s gross income; 90– day replacement policy

Premium – 18% of the nanny’s gross income; 180– day replacement policy.

There is a $150 non-refundable fee to begin a search. This fee is due after the 1st stage of the placement process. The fee is applied towards the placement fees upon finding your nanny through Signet Nannies.
